Dr. Rex Lee D.C. has been practicing Chiropractic and Acupuncture since graduating (Cum Laude) from the National University of Health Sciences in Chicago, Illinois in December 2002. He completed his International Chiropractic Sports Science Diploma (ICSSD) in 2006. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Western Ontario and graduated in 1999 with an Honours Degree in Biology. He currently resides in Mississauga, Ontario.

During his studies in Chiropractic College, he earned Acupuncture Fellowship (FIAMA) through the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture, which consisted of 105 hours didactic and 200 hours of documented clinical application. He continued his acupuncture education which as earned him an Acupuncture Diplomate (Dipl.Ac. IAMA), which consisted of 425 hours along with meeting all the requirements for Fellowship (305 hrs.), plus 120 hours for submission of 30 case studies presented for peer review.

Dr. Rex Lee is currently a member of the College of Chiropractors of Ontario (CCO), Canadian Chiropractic Association (CCA), Ontario Chiropractic Association (OCA), and Acupuncture Council of Ontario (ACO). He is also an active member of Rotary International – Mississauga Airport Chapter.

Dr. Rex Lee specializes in back, neck and extremity pain. Chiropractors are unparalleled in their knowledge of the back and neck. Dr. Darren Jagessar D.C. has been in practice since graduating from the National University of Health Sciences in Chicago, Illinois in December 2002. He decided to pursue this career after being in a motor vehicle collision in 1997 and undergoing chiropractic treatment after failed attempts with medication for months. He completed a two-year associate-ship in Vicksburg, Mississippi at River City Chiropractic after graduation and returned home to Mississauga, Ontario in December 2004 where he practiced and owned Southern Chiropractic & Wellness Centre until January 2010. He obtained his Kinesiotaping Instructors License in 2003, ARCON Functional Capacity Evaluators Certificate in 2006, The AMA Guides Impairment Evaluator 4th Ed. Certificate 2007, Whiplash & Brain Traumatology Diplomate in 2009 and will complete his International Chiropractic Sports Science Diploma (ICSSD) and Independent Chiropractic Evaluators Certificate in 2010. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto and graduated in 1998 with an Honours Degree in Biology & Psychology. He currently resides with his wife in Milton, Ontario.

Like Dr. Lee, during his studies in Chiropractic College, Dr. Jagessar earned his Acupuncture Fellowship (FIAMA) through the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture in 2002, and Acupuncture Diplomate (Dipl.Ac. IAMA) in 2004.

Dr. Jagessar has specialized in whiplash and related injuries over the past several years and conducts numerous Independent Medical Examinations on top of providing care in private practice.

Dr. Jagessar is currently a member of the College of Chiropractors of Ontario (CCO), Canadian Chiropractic Association (CCA), Ontario Chiropractic Association (OCA), and Acupuncture Council of Ontario (ACO). He has also been a member of Rotary International – Mississauga Airport and Vicksburg, MS Chapters.

Dr. Jagessar emphasizes the importance of a healthy lifestyle and being active. He has completed 7 marathons and 12 half-marathons over the last 7 years, is very active in softball and loves weight training. He stresses the importance of being “pro-active” rather than “re-active” in health matters and believes that is where Chiropractic care comes in.

 

MASSAGE THERAPISTS

Julius, Registered Massage Therapist

has received his Registered Massage Therapist Certificate at the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy School and Teaching Clinic. He specializes in Deep Tissue, Swedish Massage, Trigger Point Therapy and Pregnancy Therapy. He is currently studying to get his Certificate in Reflexology. His previous work experience includes fitness facilities, rehabilitation and physiotherapy clinics. Julius has provided therapy to a wide variety of patients. He has also received the Massage Therapist of the Year award at Sports Clubs of Canada (2005).

Kaya, Registered Massage Therapist

is a graduate of Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy. She specializes in pregnancy, Neuromuscular Integration and Structural Alignment (N.I.S.A), Myofascial, Sports,  and Palliative Care. She uses techniques such as joint mobilization and muscle energy techniques. Previous work experience included fitness facilities which she would assess, test and provide a proper treatment plan for various clients. As a massage therapist she would educate patients in anatomy and remedial exercises.

Naheed, Registered Massage Therapist

Naheed is a graduate of the Canadian College of Massage & Hydrotherapy and has been in clinical practice for over 10 years.  She has had the opportunity to gain experience in a variety of treatment environments; working in rehabilitation clinics treating motor vehicle injuries, in premier Ontario spas doing couples' massage and hot stone therapy, and in chiropractic and wellness centres working on patients with a wide range of repetitive strain and chronic pain conditions such as tennis elbow, frozen shoulder, tension headaches, and fibromyalgia.

Along with traditional Swedish massage techniques, trigger point therapy, lymphatic drainage, hot stone therapy, prenatal, postnatal, infant massage, and Muscle Energy Technique; she now offers Thai massage as well.

A therapist who enjoys learning and developing her skills; Naheed intends to learn acupuncture in the near future. Naheed believes in using her talents as a therapist to aid her clients in achieving optimal health.  She will include education in remedial exercise, hydrotherapy, and referral to other practitioners to further promote good health and wellness for her clients.

Bonnie, Registered Physiotherapist

Bonnie has been a registered physiotherapist since 2005. She attended Hong Kong Polytechnic University and received her Bachelors of Science in Physiotherapy. She received her undergraduate degree at The University of Western Ontario in psychology and she is currently working in a medical/oncology unith at Credit Valley Hospital.She has experience in treating various musculoskeletal conditions and sports injuries using techniques such as manual therapy, electrical modalities.

 Ada, Registered Physiotherapist

Ada has been practising as a registered physiotherapist since 2000.  She received her Honours Bachelors of Science in Human Biology in 1997, and subsequently her degree in Physical Therapy in 2000, both from the University of Toronto.  In 2008, Ada earned her CAFCI designation with the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute.  Her experience includes working at private physiotherapy clinics, and at hospitals such as Credit Valley Hospital where she worked extensively with people who had joint surgeries, broken bones, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal pain.
 
After a thorough assessment, she will work with you to develop a personalized treatment program which may include therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, acupuncture, and electrical modalities.  She will teach you how to manage your condition, and promote independence so that you can prevent future injuries and disability.

has been our office manager for almost a year now.
